Raised in the hills of Oakland, California, Phylicia holds a Master’s of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University and is a licensed CPA in Georgia. She discovered her passion for the sector while working as a fractional CFO, where she began partnering with non-profit leaders to strengthen their financial foundations. Today, she thrives on advancing mission-driven work through grant compliance and strategic financial planning. Outside of her professional work, Phylicia loves spending her free time hiking.

Brad grew up in California and developed an interest in the nonprofit sector a few years ago. He is passionate about assisting nonprofit organizations with their tax returns. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, and watching basketball and tennis.

Suzanne began her career in public accounting before transitioning into corporate tax, where she has spent most of her career. During this time, she gained extensive experience working on multiple IRS as well as state audits. For over six years, she has brought her expertise to Shining Star, specializing in nonprofit accounting and compliance. Outside of her professional endeavors, Suzanne enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
